welcome to february

hello and thank you for being here! im excited to send out the first edition of my new newsletter that will be sent out each month to keep you updated on what is going on with (k)nots. i will be sharing some behind the scenes info, new products, links, upcoming events, small business recommendations, etc. thanks for following along on this journey with me and i hope you are all doing well! xo - kerri

if you haven’t met me in real life, this is me. i am a licensed social worker (not currently practicing), a mom to three busy kids (13, 12 and 9), a wife to a elementary school administrator and a new puppy owner. i love plants, coffee, the shores of the west coast and vintage treasures. when i am not tying knots i am usually either at sporting events for my kids, or cozied up at home - which is my absolute favorite place to be.

did you know that all of the cord used at (k)nots is made from 100% organic cotton and repurposed from discarded textiles? i source my cord from a company in poland, and beyond being truly extraordinary to work with, it’s produced with a minimal ecological footprint. it also comes in the most beautiful colors—most of which I keep on hand for my projects!

i’m also going to be highlighting other small business that have had a meaningful impact on both me and my small business. this month, that spotlight goes to nikki & anna, owners of hagen and oats—an incredible sister duo creating truly kick-ass wooden art. i met them through events we’ve both participated in, and they quickly became friends who get the small business life. they’re passionate about bringing small business owners together to strengthen our community, and they’re just genuinely so much fun.

nikki and anna are also the owners of rose and loon, a shop located at rosedale center that features an amazing, thoughtfully curated selection of goods from over 40 local makers.
